Recess: Bike Ride on Heritage Trail

Join us for another Saturday morning Recess this fall. On October 8 we will be taking a community bike ride on Heritage Trail. We will begin at the Bike Co-op at 2206 Central Ave and make our way to where Heritage Trail Connects with Bee Branch. Our route will be an out and back to Durango on Heritage Trail, about 15 miles round trip, with a pit stop at Convivium Urban Farmstead on the way home. Any and all skill levels are welcome! Free bike rental is provided by Dubuque Bike Co-Op. Pre Registration is Required.

What to bring? Please bring with you a water bottle, a bike, and a helmet if you are not borrowing from the Bike Co-op, and a little money for coffee at Convivium on the way back. If you are borrowing from the Bike Co-op a helmet will be provided for you.

Can I participate if I have no experience? Absolutely! Heritage Trail is very flat and an easy ride for beginners. We will be doing a 15-mile ride roundtrip. However, if you feel that this is too long of a distance for your skill level, feel free to turn around and meet us at Convivium. Our route will be an out and back therefore very simple to navigate.
