We are bringing back a fan favorite Recess! Join us on February 4, 2023, for Snowshoeing at Proving Grounds with Dubuque County Conservation. We will be hiking the snow-covered singletrack trails and exploring this beautiful park in Dubuque.
We will meet at the Proving Grounds parking lot at 9:30 AM to get our gear and start our trek! Our guide will take us on an hour-and-a-half or so excursion through this glorious park. All are welcome regardless of experience! This is FREE to attend, BUT please register to secure a pair of rental snowshoes or indicate if you are bringing your own! Directions from Dubuque: Head north on Hwy 52 towards Durango. Just past Heritage pond, turn left onto W John Deere Road. The trailhead is on the right, before the road comes to a T. Please consider carpooling as parking is limited at this park.
