Introducing She Unites Recess! This is the latest program offering from our little non-profit. A few times a year we will take a break from our regular educational programming for an adults-only recess. Join us on August 18 at the Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Gardens for an evening of purely socialization and fun, because we all need to chill out every once and a while! Bring a blanket and picnic in the park with some pizza and wine.
This is our first ticketed event. The cost is $20 per person. We want to be incredibly transparent with you about what your cash money goes towards. Your ticket will grant you the following...
+ Access to the event. We have rented out the pavilion at the Arboretum which is a $550 fee that we have paid out of our personal pockets.
+ Magoo's Pizza. We have reserved the food truck for this event and your meal is included with your ticket. To reserve the truck, we have personally paid $500.
+ Live music. The ambiance is everything and we have asked some wonderful local musicians to fill these lush gardens with sweet sounds. This is a $250 cost for the band.
+ Yard Games. We want this to be a fricken fun time! We will be bringing in all our personal favs, and feel free to bring your own.
+ Access to wine and beer at the event. We ask that you bring your own water bottle to help us cut down on cost and disposables.
